When a company needs to expand its technology capacity, staffing can be an alternative. But there's a difference between placing a person with a client and following up on that placement. Hiring is just the beginning.

What happens afterward?

After onboarding, important questions arise: Is the professional a good fit for the challenge? Is the client satisfied? Are there technical gaps? Are there communication difficulties? Is there any risk that's still not very visible?

If no one follows up on these questions, small problems can grow silently.

Three parties need to stay connected

There's the professional, the client, and the company responsible for the placement. In Fasters' structure, People, Technical, and Relationship have follow-up responsibilities: the Technical area works on skill evolution and hard skills; People tracks development and soft skills; Relationship stays close to the client and collects feedback.

Feedback shouldn't only show up when there's a problem

Client feedback can reveal strengths and opportunities. Technical follow-up can reveal knowledge that needs developing. Contact with the professional can reveal difficulties before they become bigger problems.

Staffing is placing the person in the challenge. Following up is working to keep that relationship functioning.
